Help! I'm dealing with an asshole at work. What can I do?

Stanford professor Bob Sutton has devoted his career to studying organizational behavior and dysfunction figuring out how we can avoid or deal with people who "demean, disrespect and drain" those around them. The professor of management science and engineering draws on academic research and anecdotes in his 2017 book, “The Asshole Survival Guide: How to Deal with People Who Treat You Like Dirt.”

Sutton draws on many tactics familiar to those who practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help people alter their perceptions of workplace assholes in a healthful, helpful way.

He also wrote "The No Asshole Rule" in 2010 — a classic.

Sutton was named one of 10 B-School All-Stars by BusinessWeek — professors who are influencing contemporary business thinking far beyond academia.
